Why The Rec Room
Their first real sport.
Little Athletes is where 3 and 4 year olds get their first taste of real sport-style movement. This isn’t free play; it’s structured, coach-led training designed to build the athletic foundation every kid needs.
Each session introduces running mechanics, jumping technique, throwing and catching fundamentals, and age-appropriate obstacle-course patterns. Kids learn how to listen to a coach, wait their turn, and follow multi-step instructions; all while having a blast.
The pace is fast and the energy is high, but every challenge is scaled so your child feels successful. It’s the perfect bridge between toddler play and real athletic development.

Our performance training offers elite, science-based training principles for serious athletes. Everything built through Movers, Foundations, Mechanics, and Integration comes together here, sharpened into proven, high-level programming delivered in an engaging way that keeps athletes motivated and inspired. All performance class programming is written by the owner of The Rec Room, Ty Stone, and built to help athletes push their limits, build relationships with their teammates, and thrive under real competitive intensity.
Movers
Recommended ages 5–7Where the nervous system understands movement.
Balance, coordination, and body awareness form here. These are the motor patterns every future athletic skill will be built from.
Foundations
Recommended ages 6–9Where fundamental movement patterns take shape.
Athletes learn the seven fundamental movement patterns. We coach the mechanics of each one from the start, not just the activity.
Mechanics
Recommended ages 8–11Where movement becomes precise.
Athletes begin refining how they move. Proper alignment, joint control, positioning, and movement quality become the focus of every rep.
Integration
Recommended ages 10–13Where technique meets intensity.
Learned patterns are tested under real strength and speed. Integration bridges the gap between knowing how to move correctly and producing power with it.
Performance
Recommended ages 13–17Where mechanics become output.
Everything gets put to full use. Strength, speed, and power are layered onto years of sound movement mechanics. This is training like an athlete, built the right way from the ground up.

How do you track progress or improvement over time?
What if my child is younger/older than the bracket but more/less advanced?
Will my child be lifting actual weights, and is that safe at their age?
How do you keep kids motivated and engaged over a full session?

Is this good for kids who already play a competitive sport, or just for general fitness?

Ages 6 Months – 2 Years
A drop-in circuit designed for babies and their grown-ups. Four rotating stations, three per session, 15 minutes each. A coach leads one station and is available for guidance at the rest. No rigid class times. Just show up and move together.
Ages 2-4
Our earliest introduction to structured movement: crawling, balancing, jumping, and simple coordination games that build the foundation for everything to come. With playful, hands-on class programming, our little athletes learn how to listen to a coach, follow simple directions, and take turns alongside their peers — all while developing gross motor skills and body awareness in a safe, encouraging space. Silly, sensory-rich, and full of movement, with a grown-up (or favorite person!) right by their side. Built to make your toddler feel confident, curious, and excited to move!
Ages 14+
Five stages, one system, delivered through weekly Builds. Designed around biomechanics. Athletic development done differently. Not drills for a sport. Mechanics for a body. Every stage is built on how the human body actually moves, so strength and speed have something real to stand on. Our stages overlap so every athlete trains where they actually are, not just where their age says they should be. It’s not about which stage fits your kid’s age. It’s about which stage fits how they move.
